Privacy, in plain language
Your details deserve
care and clarity.
Last updated: 3 November 2026. This page explains how Villstead handles information on this website.
Villstead keeps everyday visit counts separate from the more detailed information that comes with a relocation request.
Everyday site visits
When a page loads, the site records an aggregate count for that page and day. Without a trusted GeoIP source, the country is grouped as “Unknown.” Villstead's application database does not save a visitor’s full IP address, browser fingerprint or individual page history for ordinary visits. The hosting provider may separately process connection data under its own policy.
These aggregate counts are stored in the site database so the owner can understand overall traffic. The owner can delete a country/page/day row or clear the traffic section.
Relocation requests
If you send the relocation form, Villstead stores the details you provide: name, age, email, optional phone, current country, optional citizenship or passport country, household size, occupation, work style, place and housing preferences, budget estimates, timing, priorities, reason for moving and the topics where you would like help.
Only when you send a request, the site also attaches the pages you viewed in that browser session, the referring website’s origin, browser and device category, country if a trusted GeoIP source is configured, and a masked network address. Villstead's application database does not store full IP addresses. Request content and attached visit details are encrypted in the application database. They remain until the owner deletes them. The owner can delete each request or clear all requests.
Do not send passwords, passport numbers, identity documents, bank details or medical records through this form. Villstead does not need them to start a conversation.
How request details are used
The owner can read request details to respond, understand the move being considered and follow up on place-specific questions. Request data is not sold. The current version does not send form data to an advertising network or analytics company.
Email and replies
You may contact Villstead at Villstead@outlook.com. Form requests are saved in the owner area. The site can send a minimal new-request notification to Villstead when its owner configures a verified mail sender and API key. That notice contains no applicant details. If mail is not configured or the mail service is unavailable, the form still saves the request and says so.
Cookies and browser storage
Public pages do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies. The site temporarily keeps a short page-history list in your browser session so it can attach it only if you send a request. Your saved place shortlist uses local browser storage and is not sent to Villstead. The owner area uses a secure, HTTP-only sign-in cookie.
Security and deletion
The site encrypts request records in its database and protects owner sign-in with a one-time starter password change, secure session cookies, password hashing and sign-in throttling. The owner can delete records in the owner panel. To ask about a request or request deletion, email Villstead@outlook.com.
Local programs and third-party sources
Destination cards link to official town, regional or government websites. When you follow those links, the destination site’s own privacy rules apply. Villstead does not control their pages or eligibility decisions.
